Privacy Policy and Usage Terms

Your acceptance of these terms

*By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.

Your Access To And Control Over Your Information 

You may opt out of any future contact from us at any time. You may also do the following by contacting us via email or phone:

  • See what data we have about you

  • Change/correct any data we may have about you

  • Have us delete any data we have about you

  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing 
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone at any time.

 

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products, or changes to this privacy policy.

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. These are as follows:

  • You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you

  • You may have rights to change, restrict our use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.

  • You can object to my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive such correspondence. In these cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons. To opt-out of emails that you have previously given us personal consent to join, you may click the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of any email sent to you from Mika Skye Photography.

  •  If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

Security 
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we transmit sensitive information (such as credit card data through the Square app in our Wix shop or the Square Point of Sale app at craft / trade shows or farmer's markets), that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure manner. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of our web page. (I do not personally see your payment information, credit card details, etc as these are processed securely through Square or PayPal)

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII)  We may collect personally identifiable information from users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when users visit our site, register on the site, place an order, fill out a form, respond to a survey, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number. Users may, however, visit our site anonymously. We will collect PII from users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply PII, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain site related activities.  

  • Non-personally identifiable information  We may collect non-personally identifiable information about users whenever they interact with our site. Non-personally identifiable information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about users means of connection to our site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Fulfilling Orders

We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you.

Registration 
In order to place an order on this website, a user must first complete the registration form; this does not subscribe you to our email list/VIP Club. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest. 

Disclaimer

Since we upcycle all our frames from various sources, such as reclaimed local pallets and fence boards, each frame is unique e.g. nail holes, wood knots, burn marks, etc. These are intentionally part of each art piece. 

The product you receive may appear slightly different than the images on your computer screen, dependent upon computer hardware, software and screen resolution being used by consumer. 

Art Care

It is recommended to enjoy your Mika Skye art piece away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Hanging Instructions:

Just look for the giant, green tootsie roll that arrived with your piece! Wrapped inside a roll of green bubble wrap, jute twine, and sealed with a MS sticker, you will find the 2 support pins which insert into your wall. Simply remove the discs of recycled wine cork from the support pins. Insert the pins into your wall where desired. Then, choose which holes on the beehive hanger plates on the back of your frame that you prefer!

Shipping

NOTE:  Please allow 2 days for processing. All packages are insured. 

We use:

  • USPS Priority (approximate shipping time 3-5 business days) 

  • UPS Ground (approximate shipping time 1-7 business days, includes AK and HI as well as Puerto Rico).  **click here to view UPS shipping map**

Returns

Should you need to return your Mika Skye piece, we provide 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it. You will be responsible for paying shipping costs to return an item, and shipping costs are non refundable.

To be eligible for a return your item must:

  • be in the same condition that you received it

  • be in the original packaging

  • arrive at Mika Skye within 30 calendar days from which you originally received the order

Refunds

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. 

Once we receive your item (see Return section above), you will be notified. We will immediately update you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within the number of days specified on your card issuer's policies.

 

**There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • an item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error

  • an item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
